When I was in school, all my friends had at least one elder sibling. They used to keep talking about how they feel secure because of their bhai or didi. and I used to get super annoyed at this because I felt I won’t be able to experience that ‘choti behen’ wali security ever.

Cut to 2012 November – when we had our first full ‘beheno’ wali conversations and I felt i have really founded the elder sibling i longed. You are my go to person for everything – health, career, even resigning or selecting new job, hair cuts, and life values.

I have learnt a lot from you to how live and overcome everyday. I am always amazed to see how similar we are in terms of our mindset, thought process and outlook.

There are so many screenshots from our conversations that have been my laptop’s/phone’s screenshots multiple times. I love you so so much. You are my soul sister. Thank you for being you.

I will never get tired of repeating the story of how I first met you. I was playing table-tennis when I saw an Army Jeep stop and bring down upon the MICA such a ‘haseen chehra’ that I was head over heels from that moment on.

Almost 19 years on, I am still grateful for that day. Grateful for all the choices I made to get to that point. Across the years, you’ve been my best friend and the purveyour of all my joys and sadness’s.

we have been together through the proverbial thick and thin; we have traveled the world; we have loved and lived in amazing places and through amazing experiences.

As we now celebrate this milestone – I can only say that let this be a celebration of the journey through the years and all the moments of joy this journey has brought us.
